Well, There's a new problem on the ice. It seems we have more people coming in than we have rooms to put them in. Raytheon warned NSF earlier that this was going to happen, but NSF decided the figures were wrong. We have a total of 1042 beds and expect there will be 1248 in town for two weeks. NSF has decided there is no problem because all we need to do is increase the number of people per room and there is plenty of space. Needless to say there are a lot of upset people right now.

Fortunately, our contract allows us to control our rooms and the number of people in them. Since they can't take our rooms from us and we aren't getting extra people, we are exempt from the overloading that is going to result. There are already 5 people that have quit over this. I just hope people don't decide to go on strike. That could get bad in a hurry.

We are getting ready to do our summer flight checks for the equipment. That means the FAA flies a plane in that checks our runway equipment to ensure we have it aligned correctly. We've had shifts working around the clock to get everything working.
